One per issue, never more

Sponsor an issue

The letter exists to check whether things are true. That puts a limit on who can sensibly pay to sit next to it, so it is worth being straight about who fits.

Who tends to fit

People who make the kit

Rugs, boots, haynets, hard feed, supplements, fencing, trailers. Anything a reader already owns three of and has opinions about.

People who turn up at the yard

Farriers, physios, saddle fitters, dentists, trainers, transport. Especially regional ones, because readers want to know who is any good near them.

Yards and services

Livery yards taking bookings, arenas, insurers, competition centres, and anyone building something useful for horse people.

And who does not

Anything sold on a claim it cannot back up. If the product needs the words miracle, detox, or secret to make sense, we are going to have an awkward conversation, because sooner or later the letter will take a proper look at it. Sponsors are told this before they pay, not after.

How it works

One sponsor per issue. Your slot sits inside the letter, written in the same voice as everything around it, clearly marked as paid, and never dressed up as something I found on my own. You see the copy before it goes out and you get the final say on it.

I will not write that I use something when I do not, and I will not recommend a product I have not looked at. That is the whole reason anyone opens the thing on a Thursday, and it is not for sale.

Tell me what you make or do and roughly when you would want a slot, and I will come back with what is free, what it costs, and the current subscriber figures in writing.

Let's talk about it.

Opens your email app with the subject line ready. Tell me who you are and what you are after. No deck needed.
